Spencer is an artist, place-based educator and owner of Querkus Creative. He specializes in helping conservation based non-profit organizations cultivate their communities and further the cultural ties that they have with the land around them.

The Portage District Library is hosting the monthly speaker presentations of our local Kalamazoo Area Wild Ones Chapter! Wild Ones is a national non-profit organization that promotes environmentally friendly, sound landscaping to preserve biodiversity through the preservation, restoration, and establishment of native plant communities. The Kalamazoo Area chapter of Wild Ones was established in 1998 to help inform, educate and offer resources to people interested in learning about native plants. Presentations are free and open to the public. Doors open at 6pm for social time.

Visit the Kalamazoo Area Wild Ones website for more information about this program and speaker. Many past programs are available on their YouTube Channel.
