Registration Required
As a tenant or landlord in the state of Michigan, you have rights! In this workshop, Don Roberts, the managing attorney at Legal Aid of West Michigan-Kalamazoo County will offer an overview of tenant-landlord law in the state and educate patrons on exercising your tenant rights as well as maintaining compliance as a landlord. The workshop will be followed by a brief Q&A.
This workshop is intended for general education purposes and not the provision of personal, tailored legal advice.
Legal Aid of West Michigan is a nonprofit law office. Legal Aid delivers free legal help to people who live in or near poverty, and seniors. They help when civil (non-criminal) legal problems threaten clients’ basic living needs, like housing, safety from domestic violence, food- and income-security, and healthcare access.
Donald Roberts is an attorney with 40 years of experience in practicing law in Michigan. He has managed Legal Aid of West Michigan-Kalamazoo for over 20 years providing pro bono legal services to underserved communities with a focus on tenant landlord issues.
