If you enjoy the yarn arts or want to learn, Purl for Portage is the perfect place to make art with yarn while helping others!
Each session is an opportunity to knit or crochet scarves, hats, or mittens in an encouraging atmosphere for those who are cold in our community. Amy Snow from Chicks with Sticks will recommend a new stitch or pattern to try each month. Finished crafts can be donated at the library and we will distribute them to community members and local organizations in need. Please feel free to bring your own project, if you wish. Yarn and knitting supplies will be available to borrow, and beginners are welcome. Donations of new handmade items are accepted at the Information Desk on the main level.
