STEM Librarian Jane Fleming will show you how to transfer your own design onto a journal using the sublimation printer and the heat press.
Registration Required
In order to make sure that as many people as possible enjoy the programs in our Makerspace, we are setting a limit of one program per month per registrant for Makerspace programs.
Using sublimation, you can take personal photos or images and place them on a variety of items. For this program, personalize a journal cover with a favorite photo, image, or artwork for yourself or to give as a gift. Create a design using a site such as Canva or bring in a JPEG or PNG file of a photo or original artwork. Any image will work!
Learn more about our sublimation printer and what it can do on our website: https://www.portagelibrary.info/creation-station/sublimation-printing/
This program will be offered three times during the month of April:
Tuesday, April 3 at 10:30 a.m.
Wednesday, April 16 at 2:30 p.m.
Thursday, April 24 at 6:30 p.m.
Attendee slots are limited due to space and equipment limitations. If you register and are unable to attend, please cancel your registration as soon as possible to allow other patrons a chance to sign up. Please do not sign up for duplicate programs. If you do sign up for duplicate programs, you will be contacted and asked to choose one.
If registration fills up and you are not able to attend one of these sessions, the Makerspace has Staffed Hours every day where a trained Makerspace staff person can help you with projects such as this one or other projects you might have. Please visit our website for our Staffed Hours. https://www.portagelibrary.info/creation-station/
All participants are welcome. If you anticipate needing any type of accommodation or have questions about the physical access provided, please contact Jane Fleming at jfleming@portagelibrary.info or (269) 585-8714 in advance of your visit.
