This class is an introduction to playing with acrylic ink and water on watercolor paper.
Registration required
In order to make sure that as many people as possible enjoy the programs in our Makerspace, we are setting a limit of one program per month. This is for Makerspace programs with registration only.
Patrons will learn to "draw" with ink right from the bottle and then apply water to see the interaction on the paper. This will give the background structure to apply layers of additional inks to create an abstract flower. We will address ideas of what can be done with these flowers beyond just framing.
Please wear clothing that could get messy or bring an old shirt or apron to protect your clothing in case of spills.
Our guest artist Theresa Wheatley has been interested and involved in many crafts and creations all of her life. She began taking decorative (tole) painting classes when her youngest child started school. She fell in love with acrylics and took many classes and seminars to learn various techniques. She has since branched into watercolors, oils, and inks and she experiments with her own ideas and style. She loves florals and abstracts of all kinds and enjoys painting or drawing nearly every day.
