STEM Librarian Jane Fleming will show you how to use the sublimation printer and the heat press to make unique socks with personalized images.
Registration Required
In order to make sure that as many people as possible enjoy the programs in our Makerspace, we are setting a limit of one program per month. This is for Makerspace programs with registration only.
The Sawgrass SG1000 sublimation printer in our Makerspace can create images that you can put on a variety of items. One of the most common items to put a design on are t-shirts, but why not add some fun and pattern to your socks? In this program, you will make a unique design (or choose one of ours) using Canva to print on the sublimation printer, then use the heat press to transfer the design on a pair of socks. The socks you will be making will be a size suitable for teens and adults. Custom socks are a great gift, for your loved one or yourself.
You will be contacted ahead of the program so you can submit the images you want on your socks ahead of time. The best image files for a sublimation printer are PNG or JPEG.

Attendee slots are limited due to space and equipment limitations. If you do sign up for duplicate programs, you will be contacted and asked to choose one.
If registration fills up and you are not able to attend one of these sessions, the Makerspace has Staffed Hours every day where a trained Makerspace staff person can help you with projects such as this one or other projects you might have.
