Performer's Bio:
Born and raised in Kalamazoo, Michigan- Megan Dooley has been performing locally, nationally, and abroad for 25 years. Gigging anywhere from one of London's top cabaret clubs, to intimate performances at your favorite local bars here in Michigan- Dooley is always bridging the gaps of soul, folk, jazz, country, americana, and roots with her solo and trio work. Dooley has been named the "Best Solo Performer in SW Michigan", as well as the "First Lady of The Kalamazoo Music Scene" by Revue Magazine and popular vote. Known for her powerful vocals, genre-melding performances, and professional melodic whistling- Dooley is also the principal vocalist for The Kalamazoo Concert Band (a 93-piece brass and percussion outfit) and most recently headlined at Miller Auditorium for their annual Christmas Concert. Dooley is also a multi-instrumentalist, producer, composer, community activist, chef, writer, and professional chanteuse. Location details: The concert will take place in the front of the library in the north section of our parking lot. Additional parking spots will be available behind the building. In the event of questionable weather, the event will be held in the Library's atrium.
